F.A.Q.

1. Is Basic the same as reWASD?

No. Basic and reWASD (full) are two separate products. Basic focuses on essential remapping and streamlined configuration. reWASD is an advanced remapping tool with extended customization, advanced features, including reWASD Mobile Apps.

2. Can I try both Basic and reWASD before purchase?

Yes. Both Basic and reWASD offer a 7-day trial, so you can try each product and choose the one that fits your needs best.

3. Does reWASD Basic work with legacy licenses?

No. Legacy licenses are not supported in reWASD Basic. Legacy licenses continue to work in reWASD (full version), regardless of the license type you previously purchased.

4. Does Basic supports my device?

Yes. If your device is listed as supported, it will work with both reWASD Basic and reWASD. If your device is not supported, feel free to send us a request - we’ll consider adding it in future updates.

5. Can I map mouse movement to a joystick in reWASD Basic?

No. This functionality is part of Advanced mapping feature and is available in reWASD only, so Basic does not support using a mouse as a joystick.

6. Does Basic include any Advanced Features from reWASD?

Basic focuses on essential remapping and does not include the full set of advanced features available in reWASD. Some individual tools that are part of advanced workflows in reWASD - such as Mute - are still available in Basic, as they support core remapping scenarios. More complex features, including macros, advanced mapping, Custom Crosshair, and extended customization tools, are available in reWASD only.

7. Can I upgrade from Basic to reWASD?

Yes. You can upgrade from Basic to reWASD at a discounted price. To do this, go to your personal account and find your Basic license. From there, you can proceed to checkout, where you’ll be offered to purchase reWASD Lifetime Access at a reduced price. Please note: when upgrading, your Basic access will be replaced with reWASD. If you’d like to keep both products, you can purchase a separate reWASD access instead of upgrading.

8. Can I use reWASD configs in Basic?

Yes, but only partially. Basic can open and use reWASD configs as long as they rely on features available in Basic. If a config includes advanced features (such as macros, Radial Menu, Custom Crosshair, etc.), those config will not work in Basic.
