Emergency Driver Control for Compatibility
Stay in the game without uninstalling reWASD
We know that some games continue to introduce compatibility challenges when reWASD is installed. While our team is working on long-term solutions, we’ve added a preventive tool: Emergency Disable Driver (Preferences → General).
With this option you can:
- Temporarily disable the reWASD driver if a game refuses to launch or function properly.
- Avoid uninstalling reWASD just to access your favorite titles — the app will stay installed.
- Re-enable the driver anytime to continue using reWASD with other apps and games.
All it takes is a reboot: one click to disable, one click to restore. This way you remain in control and can switch between reWASD and any conflicting software without frustration.
Note: this option is unavailable in the ARM version of reWASD.
Alongside this feature, we’ve improved driver stability and fixed several minor issues for a smoother experience overall.
