It Just Got Better: update to reWASD 9.1.2 for smoother device handling & fresh controller support
Expanded Device Compatibility
We're excited to announce that reWASD 9.1.2 now offers native support for two new devices: the latest Apple Magic Trackpad featuring (USB-C type) and the classic-inspired CirKa Retro-Style (GameCube) USB Controller.
Our integration for the Magic Trackpad is still in its initial phase. We are committed to developing a more comprehensive integration that will provide users with advanced control capabilities. Future updates will bring further enhancements!
Improved Performance and Stability
We’ve made several behind-the-scenes improvements, including a major upgrade to the reWASD driver. These changes significantly improve device detection stability, especially for keyboards and mice.
We’ve also expanded the maximum number of devices that can be handled simultaneously.
Additionally, we removed file type restrictions from the Launch App command, making it more flexible and useful for a wider range of applications.
Bug Fixes and Minor Enhancements
This update resolves critical issues affecting the "Launch App" command's functionality on several popular handheld gaming devices, including the ASUS ROG Ally, AOKZOE A1 series, and AYANEO 2S. Furthermore, compatibility problems encountered with Alpakka, Azeron Cyro controllers, various Ipega models, and Razer Raiju series controllers have been identified and fully addressed.
Significant improvements have been made to the detection mechanism for Alpakka devices after their respective firmware updates. This release also includes a range of smaller stability enhancements across the entire application/system.
