Discover the small but important reWASD 7.3 version: compatibility issues are resolved
Meet the resolution of a critical issue affecting compatibility between reWASD and certain games.
The well-known one-sided solution of game developers led to difficulties launching games while reWASD was installed, necessitating its uninstallation to use the games and software that the user paid for. However, with our latest update, there is no longer a need to uninstall reWASD to play games smoothly.
But to ensure uninterrupted gameplay experiences, we've also introduced restrictions preventing users from applying their configs while specific games are running. Basically, if we find certain games running, the software switches remapping off, and users will be notified about this action. This proactive measure aims to maintain stability and prevent compatibility issues during gaming sessions.
Also, we want to emphasize our commitment to fixing compatibility issues with games in the future, first of all, to support our users and provide them with a smooth gaming process. We believe in a fair and responsible way of using reWASD within our users' community. However, while game developers remain unresponsive to negotiations and dialogue, we have to protect the interests of our users in this manner.
Keep using your Azeron seamlessly
In this release, we have addressed two crucial issues impacting the functionality of Azeron devices within reWASD. Firstly, we've resolved a bug that previously caused the Radial Menu to fail to respond to Azeron Cyro mouse movements, ensuring smoother navigation and control for users. Additionally, we have tackled an issue where the ability to change hands for Azeron via the right mouse button (RMB) using the controller icon had disappeared.
These fixes aim to enhance the overall usability and convenience of Azeron devices within the reWASD environment, providing users with a more seamless and intuitive gaming experience.
Stability and Performance Enhancements
We also have more fixes that contribute to the stability of reWASD.
Firstly, we have resolved the issue where gyro on/off mapping failed to function on handheld gaming consoles, ensuring a smoother and more intuitive gaming experience for our users. Additionally, we've addressed a bug associated with automatically selecting a virtual device when connecting a target device using ESP32-S2, eliminating potential disruptions during device connectivity. Furthermore, we have corrected the functioning of the UDP server.
These improvements collectively contribute to a more robust and efficient user experience.
